Sustainable management

The wood from sustainably managed forests is ideal for construction, interior design, and decoration, because it is a natural, ecological, and renewable product. Unfortunately not all of the wood around us comes from responsibly managed forests. For decades, deforestation and indiscriminate felling of Earth’s largest forests has been causing serious environmental imbalances and a significant decrease in carbon fixation as a result of the lower rate of afforestation on the planet

MH Parquets y Tarimas respects environment and because of that, the company guarantees the consumer that all the wood comes from a process of respecting the planet Earth. Forest certification is a great marketing tool to demonstrate and guarantee consumers that the wood comes from a forest managed responsibly and sustainably.

The certification extends to wood products and its derivatives

CERTIFICATIONS

Certification is a process that provides a written statement certifying the origin of unprocessed raw wood and its characteristics-prior validation by an independent party. The purpose of certification is that those who adopt it can contrast their forest management practices with prescribed standards and demonstrate compliance.

MH Parquets y Tarimas respects the environment with the national and international certifications, which are:

GFS certification: GFS certification covers forest inventory, management planning, forestry, harvesting, road building and other related activities, as well as the ecological, economic, and social impacts of forestry. It is important to note that GFS certifies a forest area and therefore the products obtained from its management.

CHAIN OF CUSTODY

The audit is externally conducted by PEFC. This auditor is the one who will verify the origin of the wood used and its subsequent passage through the processing industries. ENAC National Accreditation recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, are the responsible bodies for this certification.
